Solar Power In Botswana Schools
SoloarWorld Africa in collaboration with local solar energy company, Solar West, donated a solar panel system to Botswana's Kaudwane Primary School.
The donated solar panels will go to power the school's computer lab and classrooms. With a large focus on promoting access to education and awareness surrounding solar energy, SolarWorld Africa looks to play a role in enabling the children to have access to resources that will better their future. Managing Director of SolarWorld Africa added that the project "demonstrates the potential of solar energy and the multiple applications therof in regions where resources are much needed".
The project is part of "Solar2World" project that aims to promote sustainable development. Read more from Alternative Energy Africa here.
What the people of SolarWorld Africa don't know is that their mission could be completed even easier using the open source technology available in the African countries. Check out the solar technologies in The Global Innovation Commons Today.
