Tenaga Nasional Bhd's subsidiary TNB Repair and Maintenance Sdn Bhd (TNB Remaco) today signed an RM117 million long-term parts management contract with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. Under the three-year contract, Mitsubishi will supply new spare parts worth about RM107 million to the Tuanku Ja'afar Power Plant in Port Dickson, said TNB vice president, generation division, Mohd Nazri Shahruddin. TNB in 2005 installed two units of the Mitsubishi M701F gas turbines under a rehabilitation project at the plant. Mohd Nazri said the contract also included the refurbishment of used turbine components and supply of technical advisers by Mitsubishi for gas turbine maintenance services valued at about RM9.4 million.
