Chagas Disease (American)

American Chagas Disease, also known as American Trypanosomiasis affects many Latin American countries. This life long infectious disease is caused by a treatomine insect (more commonly known as a kissing bug) which bites a person in their sleep and defecates near the wound; upon scratching it the patient becomes infected.
