Bombardier Transportation and Israel Railways (ISR) have signed a framework agreement for the delivery of double-deck coaches, which includes a firm order for 78 coaches. Optional batches are foreseen. The order value of this firm order amounts to 132 million euro ($185 million US).

The vehicles will be manufactured at Bombardier Transportation’s Görlitz facility in Germany and in Israel.

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that Tripoli-based Libyan African Aviation Holding Company has signed a firm order for three CRJ900 NextGen aircraft and has also taken options on an additional three CRJ900 NextGen aircraft. The aircraft will be operated by Libyan Airlines, a subsidiary company of Libyan African Aviation Holding Company. Based on the list price for the CRJ900 NextGen aircraft, the contract is valued at approximately $131.5 million US, which could increase to $267.8 million US should all three options be converted to firm orders.

Bombardier Transportation announced today that it has received an order for 100 MultiLevel commuter rail cars from the New Jersey Transit Corporation (NJ  TRANSIT).  The contract is valued at approximately $267 million US (210 million euro) and includes options for up to 79 additional vehicles.

The order represents Bombardier’s second contract with NJ TRANSIT for this type of vehicle. Under a 2003 contract, Bombardier provided 329 MultiLevel vehicles now in successful operation at NJ TRANSIT.

Chennai Metro Rail Limited has signed with Alstom Transport a €243 million contract to supply 168 cars for the metro of Chennai in India. The contract also includes an option for 16 additional metro cars. The first deliveries are planned for the end of 2012. The new trains will be equipped with Automatic Train Protection (ATP) and Automatic Train Operation (ATO) features.
