WOOD DALE, Ill., Dec. 2 (UPI) -- The U.S. Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration has selected AAR Corp. for supply chain and aircraft support services.

AAR said the agreement in support of NNSA's aircraft maintenance operations in Albuquerque strengthens the company's standing as a prime contractor in the government and defense market.

The contract -- valued at $18.5 million -- features a one-year base period of performance and four one-year options.

NNSA's fleet consists of Boeing 737-400 passenger/cargo aircraft, DC-9s and Learjets.

MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 6 (UPI) -- SAIC has received a contract from the U.S. military to manage the supply chain of land and aircraft tires for U.S. forces and Foreign Military Sales customers.

The single-award from the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. It has a base period of five years and one two-year option.

Science Applications International Corp. said the value of the award, if the option is exercised, is estimated at more than $1 billion.
