L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that its Command & Control Systems and Software (C2S2) division has been awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract by the U.S. Navy for systems engineering and technical support services. This is a one-year award with four option years. If all options are exercised, the total contract value will be $187.4 million.

ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 3 (UPI) -- The security-clearance process of the U.S. Department of Defense is to be upgraded and streamlined under a $39 million task order to CACI International Inc.

The task order, issued by the Defense Logistics Agency, has a base performance period of seven months, together with nine overlapping option periods, CACI said.

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- A U.S. program for increasing people's confidence in district-level government in Afghanistan is to be implemented by AECOM Technology Corp.

AECOM, a California provider of technical and management support services, said the contract it received from the U.S. Agency for International Development is for the Afghanistan Stability in Key Areas-East program.

The award, which is for 18 months with an 18-month option, is worth as much as $177 million.
