MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Capabilities of a force simulation training program are to be enhanced by SAIC under a $55 million U.S. Army award.

Under the award from Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Acquisition Center, Science Applications International Corp. will help implement enhancements to OneSAF -- One Semi-Automated Forces -- a computer-generated forces simulation covering a wide range of operations and systems.

Specifically SAIC will conduct modeling, engineering, development and test services on new concepts for the system.

MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 15 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army aims to improve and link its simulation training programs and has contracted SAIC of Virginia to help with the process.

Under a contract to support the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation, Science Applications International Corp. will provide virtual components to develop and sustain the Army's Common Virtual Environment for simulation and training programs.

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Lockheed Martin received a $6.7 million contract from the U.S. Army to supply laser engagement systems for maneuver training.

The award from the U.S. Army Program Executive Office of Simulation, Training and Instrumentation has a one-year base period with four one-year options.

Under the contract, Lockheed will provide up to 20 variants of its Instrumentable Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System Shoulder Launched Munitions training devices.
