General Electric acquired Wellstream in March 2011, in anticipation of Petrobras' intensive development of the "Pre-salt" deposits offshore Brasil.  This contract embodies an early example of over USD3.5 billion in current tenders that General Electric is pursuing in this area.

The Ministry of Oil of the Republic of Iraq, Shell, and Petronas signed a 20-year contract to provide technical assistance in the development of the Majnoon oilfield.

Exxon Mobil Iraq Limited signed an agreement with the Iraq Ministry of Oil to redevelop and expand the West Qurna-1 field in southern Iraq.

ExxonMobil said it would apply its industry-leading operating capabilities and innovative technology to provide Iraq with maximum benefits from the field. ExxonMobil also plans to focus on the recruitment and development of local employees, the development of qualified local vendors for the supply of goods and services, and on supporting corporate citizenship initiatives in health, education and infrastructure.

GE Oil & Gas will supply Pedrobras with two floating production, storage and offloading units for exploration and production offshore Brazil.

GE Oil & Gas are supplying subsea wellhead and installation tooling systems to Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras). The equipment will be deploued in Petrobras' Campos and Santos basins projects offshore Brazil.
