The U.S. U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic tapped SAIC for support services for the Navy's anti-terrorism/force protection systems.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract given the company and six others by SSC Atlantic is for one year, with four one-year options. The contract's total value is about $224 million.

"We look forward to providing SSC Atlantic with world-class physical security and force protection capabilities where security is of high or vital interest," said John Thomas, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.

A $21 million contract has been awarded to General Dynamics Information Technology to provide IT and mission sustainment services to the U.S. Navy.

The information technology and sustainment services -- under a 3-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract -- are specifically for the Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command and are worth $27.1 million if all options are exercised.

Contracts worth $261 million for tailored information solutions and services to U.S. intelligence organizations have been announced by CACI International Inc.

CACI said the awards came in the fourth quarter of its 2012 fiscal year, which ended June 30, and include $233 million in new business.

MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Capabilities of a force simulation training program are to be enhanced by SAIC under a $55 million U.S. Army award.

Under the award from Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Acquisition Center, Science Applications International Corp. will help implement enhancements to OneSAF -- One Semi-Automated Forces -- a computer-generated forces simulation covering a wide range of operations and systems.

Specifically SAIC will conduct modeling, engineering, development and test services on new concepts for the system.

MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 5 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted for support in assessing commercial and government off-the-shelf technologies to rapidly meet the needs of soldiers in combat.

Alion Science and Technology said that under the $30 million contract from the Army Rapid Equipping Force, it will conduct engineering, reliability and risk assessments -- as well as operational tests in a combat environment -- of COTS and GOTS technologies.

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- A U.S. program for increasing people's confidence in district-level government in Afghanistan is to be implemented by AECOM Technology Corp.

AECOM, a California provider of technical and management support services, said the contract it received from the U.S. Agency for International Development is for the Afghanistan Stability in Key Areas-East program.

The award, which is for 18 months with an 18-month option, is worth as much as $177 million.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Dec. 12 (UPI) -- General Dynamics C4 Systems has received a five-year, follow-on contract from the U.S. Army to update and maintain ISR Common Ground Stations.

The Common Ground Stations are involved in the collection, analysis and dissemination of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance information collected by aircraft and various sensors.

Under the $47 million contract, General Dynamics will provide spare parts, assemblies, engineering support and other logistics needed to keep the stations fully operational.
