HUDSON, N.H., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- BAE Systems says it will produce and deliver a lightweight, handheld laser targeting system to the U.S. Army under a $23 million contract award.

The Laser Target Locator Modules aids soldiers on foot to identify a target location in day/night operations and in poor visibility conditions caused by smoke or dust.

"Our laser target locator modules helps soldiers determine target coordinates quickly and accurately," said LTLM Program Manager Bill Ashe.

EDEN, N.C., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- KDH Defense Systems Inc. has received a five-year, $48.6 million contract from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for personal body armor.

The armor and related accessories are for use by U.S. Customs and Border Protection personnel.

"This award, one of the largest domestic law enforcement contracts for personal body armor in the United States, represents a significant milestone in the company's history," said Dave Herbener, president and chief executive officer of KDH.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (May 5, 2009) – Rockwell Collins has been awarded a contract for the
Technology Development Phase of the U.S. Army Ground Soldier Ensemble (GSE) program. The
base contract for Rockwell Collins is valued at $12.1 million.
Upon completion of the Technology Development Phase, which includes creation and refinement of a
GSE prototype, the Army will conduct development and limited user testing. After appropriate
approvals have been obtained, the Army intends to award a competitive contract for GSE
production.
