Tokyo, February 19, 2009 - NEC Corporation announced today its selection by Albania's Albtelecom (Headquarters: Tirana) to deploy a broadband access network based on NEC's 5000 Series ultra compact trunk microwave communications system, PASOLINK, and its MN Series SDH multiplexer, which will enable Albetelecom to efficiently address the region's rapidly increasing data traffic needs.

Surabaya, Indonesia, March 30, 2009 - NEC Corporation announced today the signing of a multimillion-dollar full turn-key contract with PT. Fangbian Iskan Corporindo ("FIC") and Telemedia Pacific Inc. ("TPI") to supply the new intra-Asian Submarine Cable Asia Network ("SCAN") system. The signing ceremony took place at Surabaya last Saturday, overseen by the Honorable Information and Communications Minister of Indonesia, Mr. Mohammad Nuh.

Barcelona February 15/Tokyo February 16, 2010 - Booth 8A125, Hall 8 - NEC Corporation (NEC) announced today at the Mobile World Congress 2010 that it will build the first Norwegian femtocell network for Network Norway.
Network Norway will provide its enterprise customers with NEC's femtocell access point to plug into their broadband router. In addition, NEC is providing Network Norway with the NEC femto gateway and access point management systems which can aggregate and connect thousands of access points to Network Norway's core network.
